Bowing wall
This is the wall that is bowing. You can see the crack at the frost line that is opening up. That is a tell tale sign that your wall is failing.
Footing
Holes are dug into the floor for footing for the PowerBrace.
Wall is temporarily supported
The weight is removed from the wall using jack supports so the wall can be straightened.
Excavtion
THe wall is excavated so that it can be straightened.
Straightening
The straightening is done by using bottle jacks against the wall to push it back. Since the dirt was removed from against the wall and the ceiling is support by the jack, this is an easy process.
PowerBrace
The Powerbrace from Supportworks is installed and these will make the all absolutely straight and support it from moving back once the dirt is put back.
Floor is restored
Once the wall is straight and the powerbraces are installed, the floor is restored.
Carbon Armor
On the wall that has just started to bow, Carbon Armor is installed. This is 7" wide carbon fiber strips with the lower blocks filled with grout.
Triplesafe sump pump system
A Triplesafe sump is installed which includes 3 pumps in one pit. @ pumps are A.C. pumps that run on the household electricity and the third is a D.C. pump that runs of a large battery.
Discharge with Iceguards
2 discharge lines come out of the house with iIceguards to prevent freezing in the winter.
