Foundation Repair Photo Album: Support for sagging floors in Cambridge, On
Maureen in Cambridge, On had a main beam that was not supported properly which caused her sagging floors. Omni Basement Systems recommended and installed the SmartJack XT from Supportworks. Smartjacks are galvanized house jacks with a big difference. The base of the jacks have an engineered footing. A cube of soil is dug out 2x2x2 feet and filled with gravel. this creates the bulb of influence. What that means is that the weight of the house is spread out through this bulb rather than just transferred vertically down. That jacks are fully adjustable should they need to be at a later date.
