Matt has a house in Dundas that the main beam is sagging and needs other support where the stair case opening is. Omni Basement Systems added Smartjack Xt to the main beam and added a supplemental beam to support the floor joists beside the stair opening. The SmartJacks and supplemental beam are both made from fully galvanized steel and feature full adjustability. The footing is a 2 foot cube of engineered fill below the floor.

A 2x2x2 cube is dug under the concrete slab and is fill and compressed with engineered fill. this fill will distribute weight through a "bulb of influence"
