Dirt Floor
This shows the before of the crawlspace. Moisture will come out of the soil.
SmartJacks installed
Because of the moisture, the floor joists above start to get soft and weaken. Smartjacks are installed to support the joists.
Everlast door
am insulated door is installed at the entrance to seal off air coming in and to insulation.
Drainage matting
Drainage matting is installed to protect the clean space from punctures
Walls sealed
The walls are sealed with a clean space wall system (Wallie) to direct any moisture from the walls to under the drainage matting.
Insulation applied
The walls get insulated with Silverglow insulation. This 2" foam is infused with graphite to bump up the R value and coated with a bright silver lining to reflect radiant heat back into the crawlspace instead of being absorbed into the concrete walls. A layer of moisture-proof insulation is applied to the floor as well to stop coldness from coming up from the floor.
Cleanspace Liner
The final process inside is to install the moisture barrier called Cleanspace Blue Liner. This is a 20mil thick liner made up of seven layers. These layers are Flexibility, strength, and anti-mold.
