Signs of moisture
The white (Chalky) marks are not mold but it is efflorescence from evaporating water. This is tell tale sign that you have high water table. Water comes up from under the floor and wicks through the concrete. When the moist concrete is exposed tot he air, the water evaporates and leave the minerals behind.
Trench is opened up
A trench is opend up for our patented drain system, WaterGuard. also a hole in the floor is made for the sump system. As you can see, there are weep holes in the sump liner to drain water under the floor.
Around a fireplace
Very common is to have a fireplace in the basement. sometimes will simply go around. to complete the system.
Sump is installed
The sump liner and lid with the pump and discharge line are installed at the correct height.
Wall membrane and WaterGuard
The Cleanspace is attached t the wall and the WatergUard is carefully installed under the floor.
floor ready to be concreted
The floor is ready to be restored back to original height. A strip of cleanspace is added over the gravel to make sure that the WatergUard stays in place if the concrete shrinks while drying.
System goes around the the fireplace
The system goes around the fireplace to make sure the water flows to the pump.
Discharge
The idea is to get the water away from the house.
Floor is refinished
Concrete is added back to the floor to original height. and the waterproofing is done with a Lifetime, transferrable warranty.
