original sump
One sump is not enough for the size of this home.
Sink is removed
This is where the laundry tub used to be. After Omni is done, the customer will replace it with a new tub.
Trenched is opened
A small jackhammer is used to break open the concrete to install the drainage system.
Restored floor
The concrete is restored back to original height.
New sump whole
A hole is dug to install a new sump system.
Before
The entire basement was gutted before we started work. Luckily for the homeowners, there were no structural issues in the blocks. It's a good, solid foundation.
Obstructions
Some obstructions are more complex. Like many homes of this era, the laundry tub is concrete and needs to be broken up and removed.
Trench and weep holes
A trench is developed, and weep holes are drilled into the block to remove water.
Wall membrane attached
A clean white wall membrane is attached to the wall to drain moisture into the drainage system.
new sump
A new sump is installed along with a battery backup system
Discharge with IceGuard
The IceGuard is a patented pipe coupler with holes away from the wall of the home. The holes allow water to flow out even if the pipe is frozen.
Discharge pipe
Omni installed one discharge pipe under the deck to hide it somewhat.
