Sump hole
A hole next to the footing is opened to receive the sump liner. The hole is larger than the liner to allow stone to be placed all around .
attach wall membrane
Thermaldry membrane is attached. first the top half so that it drains below into the bottom
trench is opened up.
With Jack hammers, we open a trench to install WaterGuard
Gravel for drainage
Gravel is placed around the perforated liner and the WaterGuard. This allows water to drain into the system.
WaterGUard ports
The WaterGuard ports gives us easy access to inspect the system at a later date if required during the annual maintenance service
Taped over Waterguard
we find that putting tape over the top of the waterguard will insure nothing moves when the concrete hardens and shrinks slightly
Sump installed
The Sump features a 2 piece lid that is very easy to open but is airtight It also features an airtight floor drain and alarm. There are punch out should you need to add anything else such as a dehumidifier discharge,
Wall obstacles
There are items that cannot be moved off the wall, such as electrical panels or on-demand water heaters. We simply bring the membrane up as close as we can.
Butress wall
The butress which gives strength the long block wall is kept in place and waterproofed around.
Floor restored
New concrete is mixed up and the floor is restored to original height. Once the concrete is dried, it will difficult to see where we did the work
