Photo Album: Crawlspace repair in Crystal Beach, On

Omni Basement Systems was hired to repair a crawlspace in Crystaql Beach, On The Crawlsapce had a dirt floor which caused a multiple of problems. There was floor rot and sagging floor joists. The Encapsulation process closes off outside air from coming in and condensing and also a vpaour barrier is attached over the floor to prevent moisture from coming out of the dirt. To help with the sagging floors, galvanized Smartjacks are placed under and attached to a supplemental beam.

Drainage membrane

a Drainage membrane is initially put over the dirt. this will make sure that water does not get trapped under the Cleanspace Liner. It also protects the liner when crawled on.

Supplemental Beam and Smartjacks

TO support the floor, a galvanized supplemental beam and jacks are place strategically.

Smart jacks under main beam

Some Smartjacks are placed under the main beam to support it. There is no need to replace this beam but just add more support.

Cleanspace liner.

Finally a Cleanspace liner is placed over the floor. It is attached to the walls and sealed so moisture will not get past it. It is 20mil, 7 layers thick. There is cord reinforcement built in to keep it strong.
