Photo Album: Waterproofing a poured concrete home in Fonthil

Beverly has a home in Fonthill, ON that needed a waterproofing system. Omni Basement Systems installed the patented drain system called Waterguard. Waterguard is installed next to the wall under the concrete floor. It is design to relieve the pressure that can build up under the floor and also drain ant water from the walls.

Previous repair

When we opened the walls, we found that another waterproofing company had done some previous repairs that were failing.

Finished walls

The source of the water is coming from the wall/floor joint and onto the floor.

Trench opened up

A trench is opened up along the wall to accept the Waterguard drainage system

Sump liner installed

The liner for the Supersump is installed at the low point and is level with the floor. Here you can see that there is a very high water table. A sump system is a must when there is this much water under the floor. All it will take is a big rain storm and that water is on the floor.
