Photo Album: Waterproofing with insulation panels in St. Catharines, ON

Chris has a semi-detached home in St. Catharines, ON. Chris needed an interior waterproofing system installed in his basement. He has plans to finish his basement after So after installing the patented drainage system, WaterGuard, Omni installed the Basement-to-Beautiful panels. Basement-to-Beautiful are an insulated panel with a big difference. The panels feature metal studs built right into the foam to easily hang drywall from. They also feature electrical chases built-in so that electrical can be done after the finished panels are installed.

Here an installer finishes up by sweeping away any dust or dirt left by the project. The basement-to-Beautiful panels are installed and the waterproofing is in place. Home owner just has to add drywall or similar fire rated wall board over top.

Open up trench

Step one is to open a trench in the floor along the perimeter wall.

Pit for the SuperSump

A 2 foot deep pit is dug to accept the sump liner.

Wall membrane

The Cleanspace wall membrane is attached tot he wall before the WaterGuard is installed.

Sump system installed

The WatergUard is placed on top of the footing and the sump system is placed into the hole.

Basement-To-Beautiful installed

after the waterproofing is done and the concrete floor is restored, the Basement-to-Beautiful panels can be installed right over top of the cleanspace.

Discharge line

The Discharge line exits the house and goes past the IceGuard which will protect the discharge from freezing. Because this is a Semi-detached, the water is directed away from the neighbour's back yard.
