Photo Album: Waterproofing and supporting poured concrete wall in Brantford, ON

Greg in Brantford, ON has a house with a poured concrete foundation. The foundation has cracks that are going horizontal on the wall. The cracks indicate that there is structural problems that are caused by soil conditions. In audition to internal waterproofing, Omni Basement Systems added Carbon Armor and Armor Lock. These two products will strengthen the walls from bowing and secure the top of the wall from tipping in. Luckily we caught this problem before further damage has occurred.

Epoxied straps

The Carbon fiber is epoxied to the wall. This is 10 times stronger than steel.

The Wall is tied to the rim joist at the top to prevent tipping due to soil conditions

The armor lock is applied first and then the carbon armor is adhered over top to lock everything together
