Wall exposed
This is the wall that needs to be waterproofed. You can see where the previous contractor ended the system but they did not drain to a sump system. in these old houses, this does not work because there is no graqvel bed under the floor for drainage.
Trench opened
the studs and drywall are cut and a trench is opened up for the patented drain tile system
Gravel is added
The trench is large enough to not only accommodate the drain tile but to add gravel for drainage as well.
Tape over drain tile
Before re-concreting the floor, Omni Basement Systems adds tape to the top so that the tile won't move if the concrete shrinks while drying
REtored floor
The concrete ont he floor is restored.
Sump is installed
To set Omni apart from the other contractors, sometimes we put the discharge line under the floor to make the look neater and eliminates the chance of it being bumped and broken. Eventually the discharge pipe will come out of the floor and up and out of the house. This solution aavaoids the pipe running along under the floor joists where it is harder to hide.
