Photo Album: backwater vavlve and new sump system in Burlington, On

Tim M. needed to take advantage of the Halton region advanced basement flooding prevention subsidy program. This program includes a new sump system and backwater valve.Omni Basement Systems installed both a SuperSump and a Mainline Backwater Valve in accordance to the region of Halton. Tim was very happy with the results.

After CCTV

after the CCTV of the main trunk is done, a tape is put on the floor so the installer knows where to put the Backwater valve

The floor is opened and the main trunk coming into the house is identified and cut ready for the backwater valve

Mainline backwater valve

a backwater valve is installed into the main trunk coming into the house. Gravel is added before the new concrete.

Once the valve is in place, the floor can be refinished with concrete

Old Sump System

This is probably a builder sump. the pit is open with no sealed lid. the pump is a pedestal style which tend to not last long. This entire pit and pumps are to be replaced.
