Susan & Mike wanted to waterproof their basement and start the process of refinishing. omni Basement Systems waterproofed using their patented WaterGuard drainage and add a new sump system using their SuperSump. The other part6 of the process was to jump start their reno plans by installing basement-to-beautiful insulation panels which includes built in studs and electrical chases.

Bare basement walls

Prior to the work to be performed, the finished walls had to be removed to expose the block walls.

Obstacles

Sometimes there are obstacles to work around. in htis case, a pipe just off the floor makes it difficult to work around

The drainage system is drained to the SuperSump sump system

Cleanspace wall mmembrane

Cleanspace is added to the walls to drain any moisture down to the WaterGuard

IceGuard

IceGuard is added to sump discharge to prevent freezing in winter. There are no valves for the homeowner to turn. If the discharge freezes, the water will temporarily come out the holes and direct the water from the home.

These panels features Insulation, wall studs and electrical chases all in one. Once installed, customer merely fastens a fire rated wall finish right over top. The electrical chases are 16" off the floor and 54" off the floor and vertically every 2'. So you know exactly where the electrical is located if you ever have to add something.
