Photo Album: Support Jacks in Lowbanks, ON

This si a multi layered job. One of the last steps is to stabilize the floors by installing Supportworks Smart Jacks. The Jacks are galvanized to resist corrosion and fully adjustable. They are suppior than any house jacks you can by at your regular building center.

Engineered fill

Engineered fill is installed in the cube under the floor which will provisde support for the SmartJack. Landscape cloth keeps the fill separated from the earth.

Engineered base

A 2' x 2' x 2' whole is dug under the basement floor. this cube is filled with engineered filled. The will be the base for the SmartJack. This used the "Bulb of Influence" to distribute the load through the entire cube.
