Photo Album: Settlement in Brantford

Tim & Deb called Omni basement Systems to say they had signs of settlement in their foundation. The house was not very old so they were surprised that they had this problem.  david from Omni Basemet Sysytems went out and determined that there was some foundation settlement in one corner of the house that were cause by poor soil conditions. Before we went any further, the customer employed a P.Eng to design a supplementary support system for the footing with a product called Push Piers The Push piers will drive tubes of Galvanized steel down til it hits supporting soil and then it is capped off and bolted to the foundation.  The soil was very soft in this area and we had to go down as much as 109 feet. THsi is much deeper than what is the norm of around 25-30 feet.
