Garage
Garage before work to be done
Push Pier bracket
A bracket is installed to the footing to drive the push piers through
Push Pier added to foundation
When all brackets are installed it's time to start riving Pier tubing into the ground
Drive stand is lifted into place.
The drive stand is there to mount the drive hydraulic cylinder to push the galvanized tubes into the ground. These gavanized tubes will be used to support or lift a structure.
Drive stand and pier tubes
The Drive cylinder is attached and then the pushing of piers begin
Lift
Once all the piers are in place, Omni can use smaller lift cylinders to lift the structure simulatiously
keeping an eye on the lift height
This operation takes a couple men. one to control the hydraulic cylinders, the other to watch to make the structure is lift to the correct height.
Recording the force on the piers
The engineer provides specific forces which need to be reached on the push pier system to properly support a foundation. these calculations are dependant on the type of structure, location of house (snow loads) type of outside facade and how many floors. The engineer is not usually present during a push pier insatllation or lift of a foundation so these force need to be recorded for each pier every two feet.
ready to restore garage floor
once the piers are in place and the enginner has signed off on the work, the floor can be restored with a new concrete floor slab.
